About imageAbout image
The Antiques Centre and the Riverside Cafe have been located in their present home since 1986 and have been trading continuously since. The building, opposite the Customs House on what was the Exeter fish quay, has had many uses in the past having been, variously, a customs transit shed, a fish market and a greengrocers store. Since the Antiques Centre and Cafe opened various internal improvements have gradually been made to realise a relaxed, warm and comfortable enviroment where customers can enjoy brunch, lunch or afternoon tea and browse and buy at their own pace.

Quayside Area

Exeter's Historic Quayside is one of the most attractive areas of the city, popular with locals and visitors alike for its fascinating history, interesting architecture and lively pubs and restaurants.
The Quayside has been enhanced to provide a fascinating mix of historic and contemporary design. It is the ideal place to browse in antique shops, walk and cycle, take a relaxing boat trip or find something good to eat.
Sited around the river Exe,just 10 minutes walk from the city centre are small local shops sited in historic cellars and bonded warehouses, such as Exeter's Antiques Centre on The Quay and Riverside Cafe, The Antique Lighting Centre and many others. You can hire bicycles and canoes to explore the River Exe and canal, or simply relax at one of the al fresco restaurants and cafes with waterside views.
